  　　This piece has a little darker feeling to it than other Causal Sound productions. Darkness is an important part of our journey. If we had no understanding of it we could not appreciate the light. The drumming is used to break up and stimulate circulation where blockages might reside. The title is a reference to a Taoist principle that even when there appears to be stillness there is movement, like the the currents below the surface of a placid lake.
  　　Motion in Stillness is 66minutes and 59 seconds long. There are chimes at about the halfway point and then again a few minutes before the last notes. It is in the key of A minor, which lends to the more somber tone to the piece.
